Free Bonus Material List for Gold leafing

Hey Beautiful!

Welcome to the blog of Artist Kelly Aiken of Copeley Designs Art, I am so excited to have you all here. I will write about once a week, and post every Monday night. I want to dive into the good stuff, but first some fun facts about how I became a professional artist.

After graduation from the University of Virginia Architecture School in 2012, I made my way up to Boston, MA. My boyfriend (now husband) played professional football for The New England Patriots, and I was so excited for the opportunity to move north! I landed a job as a Marketing Director for an architecture firm, only painting at this time as an after- work hobby. In 2013, I switched careers into art and studio instruction, working for The Paint Bar ( in Newton, MA. I found this company while attending a paint and drink class, and fell in love with the family behind the business, and the company. I learned so much from this beautiful mother-daughter business, and miss working for them dearly! After an amazing 5 years of professional football, my husband retired and we moved back south, closer to our hometowns.

Moving to Charlotte, NC, I briefly worked for Havenly, Inc. (, an online Interior Decorating service. After my daughter was born, I was ready to begin painting again, this time concentrating on developing my own abstract style. I also found Skillpop (, a Pop-up DIY class company, where I could spread the love of abstract and skyline gold leaf art.
